The International Catalan Institute for Peace is a public and independent institution, created by the Parliament of Catalonia in 2007, with the aim of promoting the culture of peace in Catalan society and in the international arena, and that Catalonia plays an active role as an agent of peace in the world.
The ICIP is an autonomous body, with its own legal personality. It addresses and provides services to public administrations, the academic world and civil society, and is accountable to Parliament, the Government and the general public.
